@cburgpawrestle The lesser wrestler does have the option of laying on their back and getting pinned. Is tilting them five times for a tech showing them up? I get it and may not like it but there are many things currently happening in our sport that will deter kids from continuing.

Question for coaches: I teach athletes to pin an opponent and not just run up the score. I see a trend of younger wrestlers that show up lesser wrestlers instead of ending the match by fall. Disrespectful or not? Thoughts?

As an athlete, you should be happy when people doubt you, because it gives you extra motivation to work hard and reach your goals.

Stop being scared of being sore or tired. That’s a weak mindset & You need to destroy that kind of thinking. Instead, train hard, eat clean & strive to be a Champion. Stop accepting mediocrity. This message is not just for athletes, it’s for the parents of athletes as well.
