For those on the right of British politics I’m afraid I have the most dreadful news. Simon Richards, formerly Chief Executive of the Freedom Association @tfa4freedom, died this weekend. His family want his many friends in this corner of national life to know, hence this post. I will miss him deeply. Simon was a funny, thoughtful, caring man who loved this country and fought for freedom with every ounce of his strength. Most of all he was the nicest man in British politics. Having dropped it three times he had the firm sense I was taking it from him at which point he tucked it under his arm and legged it. Round the kitchen island. Once. Twice. Thrice. Thereafter as I switched direction he kept moving the other way to keep the island between us, plate shoved up his jumper throughout. Henry has a better sense of possession than the England team.
