PhD complete and officially a Dr! Thesis corrections have been approved which means I’m now suitably qualified to drink from my new mug, and to chew people’s ears off about magma in Iceland 🌋

Work in collaboration with @soufriere_hills of @mvoms, plus Severine Moune and Federica Schiavi of @UCAuvergne. TiVonne's PhD research is supported by the Government of Montserrat @UKinMontserrat

Almost all CO2 in melt inclusions is hidden in bubbles. TiVonne used Raman spectroscopy and ion microprobe analysis to provide the first measurement of total magmatic CO2 for Soufriere Hills #Volcano. Her results reveal transcrustal magma storage and quantify CO2 fluxes.
