I enjoy discovering things that no one else has noticed, and I'm not interested in polishing and displaying things that everyone already knows in the most beautiful way possible.

I've loved and introduced these kinds of games since before the concept of "retro games" even existed, but my approach might be a little different from the current concept of "retro games."

I've been drawing for so long that I automatically become a retro artist now. My art is old-fashioned, but I try to think of that as my strength.

A long time ago, back when Pokémon wasn't so popular, I was so obsessed with Pikachu that I drew fan art like this. I stopped drawing it once it became too popular. I never imagined it would become such a beloved character around the world for so many years.

I tend to put a lot of effort into my own games, so I always want to make them feel rough around the edges, like Sega's old console games. I want people to pick them up and play them again and again.

The Genesis version of Golden Axe can be almost completely beaten just by having a bikini-clad beauty repeatedly perform dropkicks, but I love this kind of roughness. I play Golden Axe over and over again, like picking up my favorite toy.

I'm a professional creator who's made quite a few games at Sega, and that's precisely why I like the somewhat relaxed, rough, and flawed design of Sega games.

This is a drawing I made a long time ago. It's probably easy to use. I drew Boss, a character not often depicted elsewhere.
