Just a reminder that the last day of school is coming up on May 24th. We have a 2 hour early release that day - 9:15 AM - 2:00 pm. *No backpacks on the 24th *Make sure Library Books are returned *Lockers will start to be cleaned out Wednesday or Thursday

Horizon West Students and Staff raised $1800 to donate for Giving Hearts Day! Thank you parents and students who donated your pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars to help us raise this tremendous amount of money to benefit our Moorhead community.

Sixth grade scientists investigated questions about hailstones. They used hail from the July storm in Moorhead to find out more about how high it will bounce, how hard it is to break, and what hail tastes like!

Horizon West Families join us on February 8th from 6:00 - 7:30 to learn more about Technology: digital safety, Powerschool, internet education.

6th grade scientists used food items to model four different types of plate interactions. They have been attempting to figure out what is causing Mt. Everest to grow about 2 cm/year and move about 4 cm/year. Cool whip, tortillas and graham crackers were aids in the learning!

Thank you to all the Horizon West families that brought in nonperishable food items for Fill the Dome this year! Students collected 3000 items to be donated. #SpudPride

After reading about the Voyagers, students attempted to carry a backpack filled with 45 pounds of weights. They realized this was nothing compared to the 180 lbs.
