A truly terrible spot to get stuck at, been here since 6pm yesterday and not a single vehicle has driven by me yet, only saw one vehicle far up the road at one point but that’s about it
@erikfox2000 Throwing a suggestion if anyone wants to add on feel free
-Skywarn class required with refresher courses
-Search/Rescue/First Aid
-Defensive driving course (or experience)
I hate coming off as a sour grape, I’ve always been a proponent of freedom to chase, but honestly we need to ask our selfs, are we at the breaking point as a group of people? I’ve always prided myself as a first responder first and foremost. The last 3 days has the mouse in my head turning the wheel, is it time to figure out a way for LEO/Fire to differentiate those of us who are experienced and here for good? Idk, I’ve been kicking some ideas around in my head, one of those is making an association of some sort. We have been working on the idea for a while (summit staff) it’s became a public safety hazard on some days, maybe we need to fix this from within before another legislative body attempts to takes it from us again.

Chasers are on the road a lot but professional drivers KNOW their loads. I'm sure they would be pretty pissed if you tried to impale yourselves on THEIR load to get to a storm.
Thx🙃
@Simcoe12_Wx True! Do your own forecasting, and dont chase the "professionals"! If your target is the same, respect EVERYONE on and in the path of the storm. If a local asks you why you're there tell them what's going on to the best of your knowledge!
A tornado is not worth your life. As chaser convergence gets worse, make good decisions. Remember what has happened to brilliant people chasing tornadoes in the past. Bad decision can and do result in loss of life, no matter how skilled of a chaser you are.
Let’s see the power of social media…Anyone in Omaha, Nebraska think they can replace a windshield for 2025 4runner SR5 first thing in the morning?
Share the hell out of this! Thanks!
I'm so ready for work to be over, it has been a fucking day. Police called twice, EMS once, a few other things mixed in. We cannot get a break, and my poor supervisor most of all 😭 Definitely buying her flowers for the next time I see her
