My first article on my new Substack: Over the field In this piece I explore the theme of limits - especially how they relate to farms and sustainability. Perhaps this illustrates my thoughts on the benefits of small churches as well. haddenturner.substack.com/p/the-good-far…

Superb display of daffodils in the beautiful village of Askham in the English Lake District. The village greens in this village were the best I have ever seen. Splendid.

An essay on how the traditional crafts and industries such as drystone walling and hedge laying provide a home for nature. "A good hedge layer is worth more to the conservation movement than a hundred activists." overthefield.substack.com/p/crafting-a-h…

@suzania @Plough things through well before they happen rather than think though our ethical positions in a reactionary manner. John Wyatt would be a good person to write something perhaps.

Friends: We have a @Plough issue coming up which will ask the question: What is a person? Who are the key writers we should get in this issue, and what are the key topics -- both Christians and non-Christians?

Not sure what it says about the observational capabilities of *MI6* if they cannot spot that their AI stock images feature a woman with 6 fingers... This is why you don't use AI images...

Delighted to have this published in the Plough. My review of Craftland, a beautiful written (and produced) book on a most important subject: traditional crafts and the men and women who keep them alive. Rich in stories and rich in beauty. A book to cherish.

Craftland by @HaddenTurner: plough.com/en/topics/life… Many traditional crafts have been lost and more are threatened, but we can learn to value them again.
