Between January and May 2017, 345 dead infants were found in garbage piles in Pakistan. 99% of them were female. One 4 day old girl had her throat slit before her body was thrown away like trash. This problem has not been addressed. It has not been resolved. And if 345 dead babies - 342 of them girls - were found in five months almost 10 years ago, how many more have been murdered since? @linmeitalks You think people can live on benefits? Do you know how much UC pays? £425 a month. I pay half that on gas, electric and internet/phone.
And you get max £80 a week housing benefit. So £350 a month - so in total you get £775. That’s not paying rent!
Nobody is living on benefits.

I’ve always said for people ABLE to work/no young children or severe disability, life should be difficult, uncomfortable and embarrassing being on benefits long term.
If you have paid taxes for a minimum of 5 years, then lose your job, you should have one fairly comfortable year, then you are given a coloured card to buy food/bills/basic clothing or even a benefits uniform which changes colour every year to highlight how long you’ve been on benefits.
You should be refused access to places like pubs etc if you try to enter more than once a week - spending tax payers money on pints when you should be looking for a job??…. Crazy work… we are too soft.

Things should be out of reach for people on benefits. Not being able to afford things you want is the incentive to work, work harder, find better jobs or retrain.
