No where In the law does it state where your palm must be facing the ball traveled backward in a last ditch attempt to save a try. Very poor interpretation of the law. #FRAvARG

@MikeRoss03 @AlexCorbs Nail on the head Mike. Refs play a big part in perception. First scrum from Ireland is beautiful, Powerful. English touchies are too involved in scrum decisions imo. First scrum set the tone for the game, àn Irish penalty hère and who knows. The 3 scrum pens, coûte très cher.

@AlexCorbs Great analysis and I agree with a lot of this Corbs, but I feel you're glossing over the end of the second scrum. NZ do get some forward momentum as you've pointed out but then get shunted back. Another referee (French perhaps!) would likely call it differently
