@AlexHormozi @andyfrisella Everyone's competing over what's easy, which is exactly why it's crowded. The edge lives in whatever's still uncomfortable enough to keep people out.

You probably need to think bigger... But it will be painful to do so, if you'll never put any action behind it.

We tend to overestimate other people’s abilities—after all, they’re trying hard to make it look as if they knew what they were doing—and we tend to underestimate our own.

Don’t expect the future to be less unpredictable and painful; expect from yourself to become more resilient, versatile, mentally robust; cultivate the belief that you can eventually handle any hardship, then keep paying the price to become who you need to be to overcome it all.

"Be yourself" is incomplete advice. The person you are today isn't the person your mission requires. I changed the moment I stopped asking, "Who am I?" and started asking, "Who do I need to become?" Your mission shapes your identity.

I thought better systems would make me consistent. So I obsessed over automating everything. Then I realized something. You can't automate discomfort. Every meaningful decision still requires uncertainty. Every meaningful goal still asks you to do things you'd rather avoid. The system wasn't holding me back. Avoidance was.

@thedankoe You're not predicting the outcome by thinking about it. You're just deciding in advance which evidence gets noticed and which gets skipped entirely.

If you even slightly entertain the thought of failure, you give your mind a chance to start noticing reasons to fail. But if the only option on your mind is to win, then the world seems to conspire in your favor, because your mind will notice opportunities it wouldn't have before. Become delusionally optimistic, not because it's realistic, but because it's effective. It drastically increases your chances of success.

A meaningful life isn't built through one extraordinary year. It's built through hundreds of ordinary days where you chose honesty over shortcuts. Presence over distraction. Love over convenience. Those quiet choices become the story people remember.

Your inner critic isn't trying to help you grow. Most of the time, it's trying to protect you from rejection, failure, or embarrassment. You don't need to silence it. You need to stop letting it make your decisions.

@brianmaierhofer Chasing calm as an endpoint means one state gets treated as correct. A nervous system that can only do calm is just stuck differently.

I've stopped telling people to regulate their nervous system. "Regulation" isn't a clear goal. It's a great way to keep you looking outside yourself for answers, and dependent on whoever's selling them. Held calm isn't regulation. A system stuck in one state already has a name. It's called freeze. What you actually want is range: the ability to hold stress with grace and find relaxation with ease. Wrote the whole thing up. Link in the replies.
