In other news, an estimated 25000 students of Pakistan paid almost 50k to the British council to appear for A levels math exam and two hours prior to the exam the paper got leaked. Countless hours of prep, hundreds of thousands paid in tuition fees over the year, all gone to waste. Bear in mind this is the same educational board that funnels 50 billion out of Pakistan each year. Yet this is the third consecutive year they've failed to secure the paper. The students can't be compensated in any way.

Did anyone in your family ever read Reader's Digest? That little magazine was always around - on the table, in the bathroom, tucked in a drawer. Short stories, jokes, and advice you somehow always read. Who remembers it?

@CallMeSheri1_ So basically player performs in the PSL and is identified and then the same player then goes play domestic (an inferior level competition) to get selected?

Salman Ali Agha not in favour of direct player selection from PSL. "I believe PSL performance should be used to identify players. New players should be recognized from here, then go into domestic cricket, perform there & only then make it to the Pakistan team. There are many examples of players picked from the PSL who struggled at the international level. I think the PSL can definitely help identify players, but fast-tracking them into the Pakistan team can be tricky."

Why did Iran bomb the Gulf countries? The answer is here: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine: declared: 'I would like to extend my thanks to our partners in the Gulf who fought side by side with us every day – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan – who all joined us to defend our people and property and protect it, and who stand ready to do so again if necessary.'

The statement is false. No credible news outlets, official records, or recent reports confirm Mohammad Azharuddin (Telangana Minister) held any such press conference today, appealed for nationwide Muslim protests, or demanded the arrest/jailing/fining of a "Ram Pal" over a Delhi office hijab incident on March 27. His last public hijab comments were in Dec 2025 condemning Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. X/web searches for the alleged incident yield zero matches. The images don't align with the described event. This appears to be unverified/misleading.

And @RCBTweets has finalised a sale with a valuation of 1.78 billion USD to a consortium that includes the Birlas, Times of India, Blitzer and Blackstone. It isn't too far above what @rajasthanroyals got but then this is a peculiar ecosystem where the income and expenses of a franchise are almost identical. So, in the space of a few hours, the #IPL has seen deals worth 3.4 billion USD. The #IPL is among the big leagues of the world and the Indian cricket fan is among the most important entities in world sport

@faizanlakhani Why does the contract not include a clause of a penalty amount in case payers opt out. Before bidding they should agree to that clause and in case they feel they will not be able to honor the contract they should not participate in the bid at all. Pcb should have included this

Players jumping leagues last minute for a few extra dollars is not just about PSL or IPL. PSL will be fine, PSL will go on, it doesn’t depend on individuals, but what message are these players sending? That contracts, commitments, and team trust mean nothing once a bigger cheque appears? Its a worrying sign. This can't be called professionalism. In fact, it is unchecked commercialism ruining sportsmanship. It is not about leagues, it is about credibility of players' commitments in sport. Every profession has accountability. You can’t just walk out of a job without following SOPs, why should franchises suffer broken combinations and disrupted plans because someone changed their mind for money? Cricket seriously need regulations: if you’ve signed for a window, you honor it or compensate the franchise you leave behind. Simple. Talent deserves reward, yes. But integrity should never be optional.

In ODIs, a top-order batter is generally expected to operate at a SR of 90-100. The same batter might struggle to push the SR in range of 140 to 150 in T20s. Failing to do so in T20s doesn’t mean he should be dropped from the ODI side as well. I was talking about Saim Ayub.

@Houseof_Cricket One of the reason why India has chosen bowling first in 1996 WC semifinal, that too in Eden Gardens, was because in earlier match he had smashed Indian bowling(Manjrekar) so badly that they lost confidence….

Sanath Jayasuriya’s 1997 ODI run was so goated, it didn’t even make sense for its time — 1178 runs at a strike rate of 113, when 80s were considered explosive. It was so outrageous… that it took 18 years for anyone to top it. (More runs in a calendar year at a better SR) ...Only when AB de Villiers went superhuman in 2015 — 1193 runs at 137.9 — was Sanath finally surpassed. His 1997 carnage looked like this: 151* (120) 134 (114) 108 (83) 96 (67) 79 (62) 73 (52) 68 (38) 66 (56) 63 (52) 55 (40) He wasn’t ahead of his era — he was playing a different sport altogether. 💥

@Raja_shayan_7 @Majid_258 It was a world cup. The teams hadn't played each other in 3 years. India won. Based on that game were able to go to the next round. Hence a big occasion. Happy memory. Seen any reels of ajay jadeja scoring hundreds against pakistan when the game was already lost?
