Prefer să fiu slav decât un roman care ne-a decimat strămoșii. Otomanii nu au făcut decât să ne termine, dar, în afară de a ne lua banii, nu am cunoscut niciodată un genocid; eram acasă, cu legile noastre, fără ca nimeni să ne oblige să vorbim o limbă străină și să urmăm tradiții care nu sunt ale noastre.

The question here is what caused the decline? Eastern med genes? Slavx migrations? Ottoman conquest & the importation of oriental despotism? There are many factors to this puzzle.

I know it’s hard for an Albanian to admit, but the Slavs absorbed and linguistically and culturally Slavicized the Romanized locals (descendants of the Illyrians and Thracians) without committing mass genocide. That’s why modern Serbs are a hybrid: half Slavic and half ancient Paleo-Balkan Don’t be like the Serbs who say you’re from the Caucasus—it seems like you two are in denial 😂😂😂😂
