Recently, I served as a judge for the Brown Critique Wood Rose Spiritual Poetry Prize 2026. We read the poems blind. Smitha Sehgal was the winner. Gayatri Majumdar, the competition's originator, sponsored it. My takeaway: Poetry is a flourishing art form, and, despite the naysayers, as long as the human form endures, folks will continue to create.
