Good news! HailMe is getting closer to beta testing and its first public release. I’ve been working hard on preparing the app for this next stage, even though updates here have been quiet lately.

As part of this transition, the old dev versions will stop working. Existing dev download links will no longer be available, and if you already have a dev build installed, it’s better to delete it. Thank you to everyone who has followed, tested, and shared feedback so far.

One important change: NotifyMe is now HailMe. Before the official release, I decided to move to a more distinctive name — clearer, stronger, and better suited for the product it has become.

5/5 A small early access window is open before the public beta. The app is still in active development, so this is for people who are comfortable testing an unfinished build and sending feedback when something feels unclear or breaks. Early access: notifyme.it.com

1/5 NotifyMe 1.0.0-dev08 is ready. This update brings the app closer to beta and focuses on the small details that make it more reliable in everyday use: cleaner contact import, better SMS handling, improved Help & FAQ, and a few important fixes before real testing begins.

4/5 I also updated Help, FAQ, feedback, the landing page, and family plan behavior. On Android, this build fixes a contacts search issue where the keyboard could open and immediately close on some devices. This build removes several confusing moments before beta.

3/5 Creating a notification point is easier too. The custom message step can now be skipped, and NotifyMe will use a default arrival message instead. SMS usage is also counted more accurately when a message needs more than one segment.

2/5 Contact import is cleaner now. When several contacts on the phone point to the same number, NotifyMe no longer shows the same number multiple times. It also tries to keep the most complete version of the contact, for example the one that includes an email.

It doesn’t try to replace messaging apps or demand attention. It just quietly takes care of one small thing that’s easy to forget

People often ask what NotifyMe actually is. Because there’s a map and you can enter an address, many assume it’s some kind of navigation app, but that’s not really how it works. ⬇️

Over time, this becomes something the system handles for you. People meet you on time, open the gate, get ready for you, or simply know that everything is fine. ⬇️

Here it works the same way: you pick a place — home, office, a meeting spot — add the people who should be notified, and then just go about your day. When you arrive, they get a short notification. No extra messages, no need to remember to text “I’m here.” ⬇️

You set it once, like you would a morning alarm, and then you stop thinking about it. It simply goes off at the right moment, without any effort from you. ⬇️

NotifyMe isn’t meant to guide you somewhere — it’s there to automatically let others know that you’ve arrived. The closest analogy is a location-based alarm. ⬇️
