Members of the Lebanese Civil Defense in Rmeish, south Lebanon, treated a wounded resistance fighter who had arrived from Bint Jbeil, before contacting the Lebanese Red Cross in Rmeish to transfer him to an area outside of Israeli control. According to Al Akhbar, Israeli occupation forces in the southern Lebanese town of Debl became aware of his presence and, in a phone call with the paramedics, demanded that he be handed over to them, threatening to target the ambulance if they refused. The paramedics refused. The resistance fighter then decided to proceed on foot to Debl to surrender himself, in order to protect the lives of the paramedics and local residents, as surveillance drones were flying at low altitude overhead.
