@Dontfeedthecrz Yeah the art helps, but people don't spend 1100+ chapters with one piece just because of the drawings. The worldbuilding, characters, mysteries and story are what keep people invested. It'd lose many readers as a novel, but acting like nobody would read it is a stretch

Bro you don’t have to get mad, everyone can look at statistics or just anecdotal evidence, this is checkable. A lot of people don’t read like they used to, if at all. One piece also benefits just as much from its art which is something novels lack, even a light novel series would struggle compared to the anime and manga

You finna get cooked for this, but this is literally a common mindset in the anime community better-looking character = better character.
People will say the one piecd female cast isn’t good because they all “look like nami,” instead of actually discussing their writing, development, roles in the story or motivations.

I've never seen bleach fans talk about how well written their female cast is. All they talk about is Yoruichi's ass, and if someone says one piece female cast is better, they will start posting some aura moment and character designs to prove their point
