@AlbertanAFk NS used to allow raking of forests. We had a hurricane 4 years ago that took down a lot of trees. But now raking is restricted, so they say there, dried out and we had 179 wild fires last year Any area with decent amount of people can be raked and firewood is nearly $500 a cord

For those who think we can rake Canada’a boreal forest to prevent fires, you might want to look at a map, and do some calcs on a napkin to determine the resources that endeavour would take.
