An open letter to @realDonaldTrump, @JDVance & the Trump Administration on behalf of US Small Business interests. I humbly ask that businesses like @PashionFootwear, and the thousands of other American Dreams like mine, be considered when developing trade policy.

@tonyotonio @mcuban Have US & China patents. Our Mnfg partners have alerted us to knockoff attempts & helped us pursue legal action. This is an outdated view on China. Very complex, it's a 1st of its kind product. Could be US once scale mnfg is built. Can't be immediate as these tariffs imply.

how complex can the mold for the parts of your shoe get? gas assisted molding, insert molding, over molding are all available in the US. i’ll give you that china is easy to work with, even for small businesses with low custom volume. and their supply chain is so integrated that they can handle assembly and packaging. all that at very low cost. (all of which the US cant complete at currently - this is what needs to get fixed). but be careful though, because chances are after your run, you’ll probably see 'fushon footwear' popping up on Taobao and Alibaba

We think tariffs are about bringing back manufacturing. Talk to small businesses first

@_SamStClair_ @mcuban Absolutely don't disagree that we can & should! Point of this post is, we don't yet. Demanding change overnight will squash the small businesses who can't afford to build their own solution. Infrastructure must be built first

I hope your company succeeds. The easiest out is always China. Injection molding isn't that hard to do these days. If Elon can create autonomous vehicles, telepathy, satellite Internet, the most advanced rockets, and etc. in the United States, then sure as sht we can injection mold some shoes! BTW I work in manufacturing here in the US.

Manufacturing is not 1-size-fits-all, & what's available in the US is not nearly as all encompassing as what can be found in China

@mcuban There are plenty of manufacturers who do injection molding in the United States. Mark Cuban obviously doesn't know anything about manufacturing.

@mcuban right, and injection molding is not some voodoo tech. yes its way cheaper in china because of the volumes they do and depending on volume can comp the molds as well, but a simple google will show you there are facilities in the US as well. upmold.com/about/injectio…
