In the early days, I commented occasionally as my Hollywood friends were keeping me abreast of the developments. They were genuinely concerned that Lively's claims, if successful, would destroy the ability of anyone else in the moviemaking capital of the world to ever make another film without the fear that perfectly innocent and acceptable conduct would thereafter open them up to similar lawsuits. The cognoscenti were seriously worried that couple was using every dirty trick in the book and their considerable wealth to try to con the public and the judicial system and, if they were successful, they would have singlehandedly destroyed the ability of anyone else to make a movie without having the Lively/Reynolds spectre on their back. When it became apparent that both Kjersti Flaa, whom I don't know, and Andy Signore, whom I do (and like and respect), were covering the story with commendable ability, I decided to leave it up to them. But now that Judge Liman has struck out the most damaging parts of the ghastly Lively's claims, I feel I must say how delighted I am that justice is prevailing.

PETER TRAGOS MAKES STUNNING UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIMS Yesterday, Peter Tragos @LawyerYouKnow made stunning claims about the contents of Michael Proctor's phone. He claimed that motions in the federal complaint, civil wrongful death case, and Myles King case stated that Proctor gave MSP investigative files to Colin Albert and that he texted he wanted to see Karen Read "naked" in a "jail cell." After review, no such statements exist in any filing. His inclusion of this information was particularly insidious because quotes from the Amended Complaint in the federal case were lifted word for word from the filing and interspaced between his claims. Almost as if he had used AI and it gave him an inaccurate analysis. This is not the first time Tragos has spewed misinformation. Roughly three months ago, during an interview with Megyn Kelly, Tragos claimed the witnesses sent text messages amongst each other that they were going to "pin it on the girl." No such text message has ever existed. In fact, no one other than Alan Jackson ever said that. Tragos had taken a quote from Alan Jackson's closing statement and mischaracterized it as a text among witnesses. I am calling on Peter Tragos to either issue a retraction or produce the documents which contain this information.
