@AnthonyNarsh This is wild. I wonder the effects on the muscles that have not been in that position or bearing weight in so long? I hope that this technology continues to develop and adapt to needs.

@AnthonyNarsh Hey Anthony! Learning about distinguishing types of Parkinson's by looking at things like bladder and bowel control was interesting! The interconnection of systems is extremely evident when you have a real patients standing in front of you discussing their symptoms.

@TaylorHillEXS This is such a difficult diagnoses for such a young child. I can imagine it would be so easy to miss involuntary shaking in children this young due to their "high-strung" nature and development process. Thanks for sharing!

@docgoble The motor cortex controls the body's movement, and there is a lot of movement happening in this play! Electrical signal "codes" were sent to Kearse's leg muscles to tell him what direction to run and how fast he needed to run at .4 to get under the ball and make the catch at .6

@docgoble Markkanen had to use his ability to know where he was in space to gauge when to jump for the dunk (.03), but also beforehand when we was navigating his path to it (.025). Muscle spindles, GTOs, and joint receptors worked to control how much his arm bent and when to bend it.

@MylaDickerson Hey Myla! I saw this video when doing my own digging for this assignment. I thought it was so cool that EMG is able to detect the functions of individual muscles, when so many work together to make the leg bend/extend. Thanks for sharing! So cool!

I'm taking #EXS3030 @OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I am an Exercise Science major! In the long term I hope to become an Orthopedic Physicians Assistant, so learning about the neurophysiology of movement will be beneficial in my future career.
