Anyone but Man City is not about City, but teams who dominate trophies in general means that most people like to see someone else win.

This guy genuinely believes that what goes on inside his empty head is a reflection of what’s going on in the wider football world. It was never “anyone but Manchester City” It’s “Anyone but Arsenal” now only because of the incessant bullshit people like him have been spouting all season.

It’s not bizarre at all, you say ‘rooting’ for City which I totally understand they don’t provoke the same feelings as others, but people aren’t rooting for City, they WANT them to beat Arsenal!
That’s the difference.

I’m well aware a lot of people don’t like to see Liverpool win, but most of them admired the football they played which is completely different to how they feel about Arsenal.
