This guy… I hate him as much as I love him. I hate him because of his mentality and how, in many ways, he wasted parts of his prime because of it. At the same time, I love him. He’s genuinely one of my favorite players ever. Some people will say I’m exaggerating, but I truly believe he had the talent and ability to become maybe the greatest midfielder ever. His style of play, technique, flair, and raw talent were insane. It’s just sad that we never got to see his full potential consistently for a long period.

I've said it before... Talking to players is key, and Ancelotti is a master of dressing room management. A manager's ideas need players to apply them. If the manager lacks the players trust, especially the captains, he can never succeed. No manager has ever won anything without a good relationship with his players. That was Xabi Alonso's mistake.
Madrid Zone@theMadridZone

🚨 Carlo Ancelotti: “When I was in Madrid, I’d have an idea and I’d try to discuss it with the players, and see if they agreed or not. We even did this in the final of the Champions League. When I have an idea, the player has to be part of this idea. I don’t want to impose strategy. To talk with players is not a weakness. In my career it was really important because I had a lot of ideas coming from players. Andrea Pirlo, for example, when I put him as a holding midfielder, it was his idea.” @TheAthleticFC

🚨This post will be very honest and all about the truth. 🔴🔵First of all, congrats to Barca on the title. A fully deserved title — they were by far the better team this season and deserved to win La Liga. I’ll post something later about Barca’s season as well. ⚪️⚪️Now moving on to Madrid. The current state of the team is mainly the responsibility of the club management — not only Florentino Perez, but everyone involved in decision-making: Juni Calafat, Santiago Solari, and the rest of the board. In 2024, Madrid were UCL winners and had one of the best seasons in club history, losing maybe only 2 games all season. The team had spirit, chemistry, and balance. Honestly, the only thing the squad needed was a replacement for Kroos. Not necessarily the same quality — because that’s almost impossible — but at least a midfielder with a similar profile and style. Instead, the management signed Mbappé when the team simply did not need his profile. This is not because Mbappé is a bad player — he’s world class — but because Madrid simply did not need his role in the squad. Madrid already scored 87 goals in La Liga that season, so goals were never the issue. The second mistake was letting Carlo Ancelotti go. He is the most successful manager in the club’s modern history. He won UCL titles when nobody expected it, built a team with incredible dynamics, and controlled the dressing room better than almost anyone. Ancelotti also didn’t get the signings he asked for in the summer of 2024, especially in defense. Once injuries started during the 2024/25 season, Madrid had no defensive depth left and even had to play Tchouaméni at CB at times. Yet despite all this, Ancelotti took the blame from fans, media, and even the club itself for no real reason. The third mistake was trying to fix problems with even more problems. Madrid signed Mbappé when they didn’t need him, let go of Ancelotti when they shouldn’t have, and then made another questionable decision by appointing Xabi Alonso at the wrong time. Xabi may become a great manager and he is obviously a football legend, but right now he does not look suited for this Madrid situation. He accepted the job knowing the squad he had. He requested transfers and got them, yet the club still failed to sign a midfielder with a Kroos/Modric profile. On top of that, he failed to manage the dressing room properly — and that is part of a manager’s responsibility. There are no excuses for that. All of this led to Madrid’s terrible season. No Kroos replacement. Signings that were not needed. A manager appointment that did not fit the timing or situation. Most of the responsibility falls on the management. So how do you fix it? Option 1: The new manager must find a way to make Mbappé, Vini, and Bellingham work together while also fixing dressing room issues between key players like Valverde, Bellingham, Vini, Mbappé, Tchouaméni, Carreras, Rüdiger, etc. It is achievable, but extremely difficult. Maybe that’s why some fans understand the idea of bringing Mourinho back — because of his strong personality and ability to control dressing rooms. Option 2: Make bold decisions for the long-term future of the club. This means sacrificing some big names and signing profiles that actually benefit the squad balance and make future managers’ jobs easier. But regardless of the option chosen, one thing is clear: Signing a Kroos-type replacement this summer is an absolute MUST.

The biggest issue no one is talking about in the Madrid dressing room is not the fights, but the constant news leaking from that dressing room and club. Fights and arguments happen between teammates, but the amount of news leaked to the press this season shows a bigger problem. In every team there are arguments, but with Madrid it seems as if the dressing room is becoming a reality show and we are getting live updates.

@beIIigoI Relax... Two years ago you were UCL winners and now you don't want to support your club during these times? It was not your year, maybe the next one.

Stop what? As if I'm his agent negotiating a deal 🤣🤣 You need to stop and grow up a bit. It's obviously my opinion and sarcasm. And BTW, we've seen club legends leave before, so it might happen or not. This was a photo during Barca's title celebration making fun of Madrid. Do I need to tell you what happened later?

@HalfTimeAnalys @heis_fede Saliba won't leave. The player who loves Arsenal the most won't leave a successful club for one riddled with problems. You need to stop this.

All I’m hoping for is that Arsenal finishes the season trophyless(again) so that Real Madrid will have the chance to sign Saliba/Gabriel.
