I live in Apo Legislative Quarters. Every now and then, ladies come in from Nyanya, Karu, Life Camp, and other distant areas, all heading to the gym inside the quarters. The goal is clear: meet a politician.
Some of them show up in skimpy shorts and see-through leggings, and they walk from the main gate to the gym building, a distance of nearly 2km, just to get there.
Here is the problem with that plan.
The gym charges 30,000 naira a month. That is a small amount for most people. But the men they are hoping to meet? Those men either have private gyms in their homes, or they train at places like Transcorp Hilton, where gym access is less about money and more about connections and status.
So the women pay a fee, walk a distance that demands real effort, dress in a way designed to attract attention, and still go home having met nobody worth meeting.
It is not a lack of effort. It is a miscalculation. The target audience was never in that building to begin with.

assumption of 10 weddings per local government this weekend will be 419 x 10 =4,190 weddings
But no local government realistically zaa samu weddings not more than 10. More like average of 10 weddings a ko wane unguwa.
There must have been tens of thousands of weddings this weekend and none of them was mine.🥲
