@ShaKing807 Definitely! Something to be said about both stories taking so much autonomy away from the leading heroine, too... Certainly doesn't help in CSM's case when so much of Asa's perspective & agency is cut out of the equation

@HalloBruce Probably a hot take at this point but even though I have criticisms of how Berserk handles and presents SA (especially later on) I do appreciate it not minimizing or trivializing the impact it has on characters and I do think the way it's handled with Guts is very well done

People are gonna dog on the CSM ending but chapter 230 is the real dogshit chapter for leading to takes like this being an actual talking point all from this page

@ShaKing807 My mind goes to Berserk-- also not the *best* example of how to handle SA, but Golden Age gave us a window into what a healthy relationship and a path to healing would look like for Gus & Casca. Even if it turns for the worse, there's clarity in what the chars need to overcome.

@ShaKing807 I definitely need a second read to make up my mind, but yeah... IMO the Denji-Asa-Yoru "triangle" just trapped the characters in a cycle of toxic behavior without giving room to reflect. Don't wanna say it was all for naught, but Denji's regression didn't help
