@BenScream4Joyce I’m fine with hating on Schanuel and O’hoppe but the Neto hate isn’t justified. Hes a 4-5 WAR player at a premium position. That’s someone you have to keep around.

@SCHANUEL_SZN Does Neto look like the type of guy who ages well tho. Ima put money on saying NO. I’ve seen young guys like him before. I mean he is the best of the bullshit young core. That we have. But I wouldn’t really want him long term.

@BenScream4Joyce Neto plays his heart out which I respect. Phenomenal defender and above average bat. But he looks like an MVP compared to the rest of this team

@SCHANUEL_SZN He really does 😬 I’m truthfully not that impressed with Neto either. I know a lot of halo honks love him. But I just see him as decent. Keep for a couple years then trade him. Not really a winner or star.

Angels have to look into this. Fits the mold of a former top 100 guy. Potential to be a backup catcher. VERY small sample size but has a league avg bat and a good defender with a cannon. Would love to see the Angels take a flier.

I genuinely wonder how much more run the Angels let O’hoppe get. Was worth -.8 WAR last year and has the exact same wRC+ and atrocious defense again this year. Already worth -.2 WAR this year. Have no real options at AAA to take over and d’Arnuad is barely a backup.

I love that is happening in the Angels clubhouse. There is literally nothing that matters more than this.

It’s safe to say that Logan O’Hoppe is the worst MLB player getting regular playing time on a big league roster. Among all position players with 400+ plate appearances, he is: - Last in fWAR (-1.0) since 2025. - Last in fWAR (-1.4) the last calendar year.

@dweinberger66 No good ones to be honest. Sebastian Rivero would most likely be the call. Sam Huff is on waivers right now so he might be the most likely external option.

Vaughn Grissom with just a really good AB. Would love to see him learn LF and RF and just become a super utility guy for us.
