These are excellent bits of advice for anyone looking to publish in the peer reviewed literature. Simple things that make a big difference. Major plus one for avoiding using your own invented acronyms

I’ve handled the review of > 1000 papers at @nature. Over time, you notice aspects of presentation on which reviewers tend to comment. In the interests of minimizing hassles during review, I offer the following suggestions (a bit targeted to climate papers).

@MirrorFootball @JamesNursey Both teams went for it from the first second to the last. It was the kind of match everyone wants to see. Tielemans went for glory but got the pass wrong, @HKane went for glory and got the pass right but well done to all the players for a brilliant match. Fans want glory!!

I am so shocked and sad that Matt Gage is no longer with us. I honestly can't think of anyone who combined being a top scientist with being a brilliant friend and colleague as naturally or successfully as he did.
