Capsulophimosis: • Small CCC (<5 mm) biggest risk factor. • Watch early for capsular edge fibrosis/whitening. • YAG radial relaxing cuts (4–6) first-line. • Dense fibrosis → surgical membranectomy. • Prevention: 5–5.5 mm CCC, CTR in PXF/zonular weakness.

@ganatraaneri 1- Margins: MG has raised margins , where as coloboma margins are well demarcated. 2- Shape : MG is funnel like whereas coloboma is bowl like 3- Laterality : MG is usually unilateral with macular involvement (sometime) whereas coloboma is often bilateral.

Myopic Foveoschisis 1️⃣ Splitting of retinal layers in high myopia 2️⃣ OCT = gold standard diagnosis 3️⃣ Symptoms: blur, metamorphopsia (may be silent early) 4️⃣ Risk: macular hole / RD progression 5️⃣ Tx: PPV ± ILM peel, gas; observe if stable

@DrChowdharyA @bobvarkey @drgunjand Around 50% of the Ophthalmologists write their interpretation on the scans. Having said that, If I write “ Vitreo-Macular traction with Foveoschisis” or “ Macular Telangiectasia” , other specialities still won’t interpret the head or tails of it.

@bobvarkey Isn't "almost all" an exaggeration? Just curious, because I've seen such practices only in Tier 2/3 regions. The interpretations must always be there, either on the report and/or the attached prescription. How're things around you @drgunjand, @HammadNasti ?

It's extremely frustrating to see OCT and ophthalmological test results given to patients without any diagnosis. Almost all ophthalmologists in India hand over the test results without writing their interpretation or diagnosis. Other specialities just cannot figure out head or tail of these reports. Will they ever start writing their interpretations?
