Did you know the American Revolution actually began well before 1776 and was, in fact, decades in the making?  Did you know that we lost more battles than we won?  Did you know only about 40-45% of the colonists supported the war?  I can only imagine what the "forever war" crowd today would have said and how they would've trashed George Washington and the patriots had they been roaming the earth back then.

The Uncle Fester cult loves pretending the Moon landing was faked, but they never explain why the Soviets would honor Neil Armstrong if it were. This was the Cold War. If Apollo 11 were a hoax, the USSR would have exposed it instantly and humiliated the United States on the world stage. Instead they invited Armstrong to Moscow, pinned medals on him, and publicly celebrated the achievement. The people with the strongest incentive to call it fake did the exact opposite. That tells you everything.

Nirvana’s music does not stand the test of time. But the Smashing Pumpkins does. So ultimately Billy Corgan won out against Kurt Cobain. Nirvana was hugely popular but I never listen to it anymore. I find Smashing Pumpkins more musical and listenable. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a truly great album. Nirvana’s best was probably Unplugged. What say you @batcountry1980 ?

@robbskidmore I like Smashing Pumpkins more but I would argue Nirvana is the more popular band and has more of a cultural impact.

They would say shit like it was because of leaded gasoline and that the anti crime policies had nothing to do with the reduction.
