Rob Manfred says there is “buzz” around adding a "Golden At-Bat" rule to Major League Baseball, per @jaysonst.
This rule would allow a team to choose one at-bat in every game to use their best hitter regardless of where they're at in the lineup.

Why on earth is Hudler apologizing? Adding "make exclamatory noises at the exact instant a Royals hitter barrels a baseball" to his toolkit as an announcer has made him at least 20% better. Someone tell him he better not stop doing it.

I can't decide whether today's lineup is an abomination or an inspiration. Massey has drawn 3 walks all season, and now he's leading off? If this gets him to take more pitches, it might be crazy enough to work. But the Royals need their leadoff guy to be on base when Bobby bats.

@SorenPetro Yeah, it is getting to be very frustrating. I mean, I definitely can understand how an umpire can miss the call in this case, but why even have the ability to have it reviewed in New York when they can't get it right. These are two obvious mistakes in a row, frustrating.
