You know what the real issue with Usman Tariq’s action is? - He comes in to bowl, batter is set. - Batter reads him early and adjusts position. - Just as the batter moves, Usman pauses mid-load-up, holding the ball. - That pause gives him extra time to reassess and then release the ball right on target like bhatta bowling. And that’s where the problem lies. That deliberate pause disrupts the natural rhythm, bowler runs in, loads up, releases. When you suddenly stop, it freezes the batter’s movement but gives the bowler an extra second to recalibrate. It’s almost like getting a retry button mid-delivery. You see the batter move, you process it, and then you adjust. That’s why this will spark debate. The question isn’t just about legality, it’s about fairness and rhythm. If the pause becomes a tactical tool rather than part of a natural action, people will argue it creates an unnatural advantage. Don’t be surprised if this becomes a bigger talking point soon.
