@LaRaza1538 @vibeocracy @histories_arch @archeohistories @top_pachuco Americans typically have a great reputation worldwide, no stereotypes when it comes to you guys, or Latinos.

She was five years old when doctors realized she wasn’t sick—she was pregnant.....
In 1939, in a small village in Peru, Lina Medina was brought to a hospital because her abdomen kept growing. Her family feared a tumor. What physicians discovered instead stunned the medical world.
She was seven months pregnant.
Tests confirmed that Lina had experienced a rare condition known as precocious puberty, meaning her body had matured far earlier than normal. By the age of five, her reproductive system had developed enough to sustain a pregnancy—something almost impossible to comprehend, even today.
In May of that year, she delivered a baby boy by cesarean section. The surgery was necessary; her body was far too small for a natural birth. The child, named Gerardo, was born healthy.
But the questions surrounding her pregnancy were darker than the headlines.
Authorities investigated, but no one was ever definitively identified or held accountable. The silence around what happened to Lina became part of the story itself—one that exposed not only a medical anomaly, but a profound failure to protect a child.
Lina rarely spoke publicly about her experience. She went on to live a quiet life, far from the spotlight that once surrounded her. Yet her story forced the global medical community to confront uncomfortable truths—about biology, about vulnerability, and about how easily the most shocking cases can still leave justice unanswered.

@uppitysouthy @DOlGOHERE @NINETIESWITCH We forgot because they announced it two years ago and we are yet to hear anything since
English

@LeaveHeardAlone That's not how news reporting works though and you all should know that as I'm presuming it's not your first day on our planet.

@HanM97x Kristoffer Borgli being a child predator has nothing to do with the fact Zendaya is promoting a movie she is in.
English

Three things.
1. The director’s name is Kristoffer Borgli. Why his name isn’t being mentioned is weird. This has nothing to do with Zendaya. Leave women alone.
2. He apparently was 27 when he allegedly dated a teenager. Which is disgusting, and I hope it ends his career. No second chances.
3. I find the amount of digging and controversial stories surfacing to drum up “backlash” coming out about this movie “The Drama” weird and suspicious.

@1Flew0rain0Enuf @NINETIESWITCH But she wouldn't be the first biracial or light skin actress in Hollywood who has appeared in black-centered films. There's a difference between taking a role that was written for a darkskin women, and starring in black-led productions and stories. Biracial male actors do it
English

@NINETIESWITCH A bit of this is becasue Zendaya goes after roles meant for white actresses in order to not hinder opportunities from darker-skinned Black women, and to expand diversity in films for characters that would otherwise be cast as White.
English

@WaynePolk195412 @histories_arch Yes, it would be very easy if they were still alive, or if DNA had been retrieved from them at the time, but it wasn't as they didn't have DNA testing.
English

@histories_arch Just wondering: would the advanced technologies of today be able to pinpoint the father with DNA and genetic tools?
English

@vibeocracy @histories_arch @archeohistories @top_pachuco If you think familial abuse against girls doesn't happen in white families, you're a bigoted dumbass. Go to any Catholic country like Ireland & it's rampant. The Duggars are a white christian family, they have one son who abused his sisters, & another son who abused small girls!!
English

@histories_arch @archeohistories Ofc she’s Native, I bet it was a man related to her. @top_pachuco another one
English

@notpopbase @TMZ @iamkelly34 So you want Zendaya to be the face of the movie and the reason for it's success, not the director, until there's a controversy 🤔
That's how journalism and the media works jfc stop acting like it's ya'lls first day on Earth
English

@TMZ @iamkelly34 of course you mention a black woman that has nothing to do with this? TMZ don’t y’all get tired of being racist pieces of shit?

@libertybelleX47 @SkellyO_O @NYCMayor Oh but we support Hamas apparently for calling out Facist Nazis in Is-not-real, so what's the difference? You're a JDL terrorist lover 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
English

@SkellyO_O @NYCMayor I know, I agree.
Calling Mamdani a hypocrite does not mean I support the JDL.
English

You know what else gets the shiny "violent extremist" trophy?
HAMAS, you brain-dead fuckstick.
Who the hell do you roll out the red carpet for at Gracie Mansion?
A pack of drooling HAMAS cheerleaders, that's who.
You only sprout a boner for justice when it's a Muslim or some prison bitch getting poked.
The rest of the world can burn and you're too busy polishing your clown shoes.
Honking red nose and all, you absolute fucking joke. 🤡
English

@PopBase Oh so that's what he looks like without all the editing 😂😂😂
English

@globalpinks_ The fact he went out of his way to see them at Coachella with Cha Eun woo and attended their after party too , like he BEEN friends with them and liking them whereas the Pinks never acknowledge BTS 😭😂😂 so embarrassing for their fans to be crashing out Abt it lmaoooo
English

@MySharona1987 @AHSZone If they want to go for old Hollywood like Liz & Dick, maybe Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner, although that would be quite exploitive too considering her tragic end like John & Carolyn. But most of the public don't know about her death and him and Christopher Walken being there.

“Love Story” executive producer Brad Simpson confirmed a second season is in development, but shot down writer Connor Hines’ idea of covering Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton:
“We have different ideas that we’re brewing. After ‘O.J.’, we really took a swerve toward ‘Versace’ [on ‘American Crime Story’] and did something very different and didn’t just try to do another famous case. I think we’re looking at a ‘Love Story’ that is a little bit out of left field, a little bit different. That’s all I can say. I think that it’s going to be hard to top this in terms of a classic real-life couple.”

A 28-day-old infant was seriously injured after being attacked by a rat in his family's displacement tent in the Al-Maqousi area, west of Gaza City.
Local sources reported that the animal bit the baby's face, leaving deep wounds. The child was rushed to Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital, where he remains in critical condition under medical observation.

@nightwriter22 Omg I love him AND Zhang Zhiyi! Can't wait for this one
English

Director Ang Lee is ready to roll the cameras next month with Zhang Ziyi joining him on high-profile drama Gold Mountain with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki in California. Based on C. Pam Zhang’s novel How Much of These Hills is Gold, the film follows two Chinese-American orphaned siblings navigating the California Gold Rush. Lee's last film was with Will Smith, Gemini Man, and his Bruce Lee biopic is unfortunately on hold due to struggles with funding, copyright, and creative issues. At least, Lee is making a new film.

@perfectrose2011 @archeohistories She obviously did set herself up with what she needed and spent it on herself too. She didn't give every single cent away. She provided herself with what she needed, and fed and housed relatives and locals with the rest.
English

@archeohistories Not to insult but this women being jobless may not have had a good education, or childhood with her stating she grew up with nothing or a low IQ. It was almost self abuse for her not to enjoy at least some of this wealth maybe ignoring good advice for the money management.
English

48-year old jobless Irish lady wins a $46 million jackpot immediately gives it away to her town named Strabane and its people. "I know what it's like to have nothing, that's why I'm giving it away. I can't miss what I never had."
When Margaret Loughrey won roughly £27 million on the EuroMillions, she tried to turn sudden wealth into collective relief for Strabane, a place long marked by unemployment and post-Troubles hardship (the violent conflict in Northern Ireland that lasted roughly from 1968 to 1998.)
She gave cash directly to neighbors, paid off friends’ debts, funded local youth groups and community projects, and bought homes and cars for people she believed had been left behind. She kept her door open, handed out envelopes of money, and refused to set strict boundaries, saying she knew “what it’s like to have nothing.” For a time, her win felt shared.
But the generosity came without guardrails. Overnight fame brought constant requests, media pressure, and strained relationships. Loughrey declined sustained financial management and security, trusting personal judgment over structure. As expectations grew and gratitude thinned, isolation followed. Legal disputes, family conflict, and worsening mental health struggles mounted, classic symptoms of what researchers call sudden-wealth syndrome.
By the end, much of the fortune was gone, not through excess but through uncontrolled giving, poor advice, and the psychological weight of being everyone’s answer. She died in 2021, her story shifting from fairy tale to warning.
Studies show lottery winners who give informally and immediately, rather than through trusts or foundations, face the highest risk of financial collapse and emotional burnout within five years.

@archeohistories This shouldn't be phrased as a cautionary tale encouraging others NOT to do what she did. Communities don't need foundations set up when they need dinner on the table that day or somewhere to stay that night. She fed & housed dozens upon dozens of people,it was not a waste at all.

@Juleswynnes @aoifeh1916 When have Easter Eggs ever said Easter on them??? They always say the brand and maybe Egg.
English

@aoifeh1916 Neither of them say Easter, yet both been sold in a Christian country, trying to capitalise on a religious holiday period. A bit like presents at Christmas, without Christmas???, so fock them both. I'm out thanks.
English

I picked these up in Dunnes Stores today. The one on the left is a decent sized egg from a chococlatier in County Cavan. Priced at €12. The Butlers bunny was €10.50. I'm trying to support Irish where I can. Both these Easter eggs contain milk. No palm oil. This is not an ad BTW. Buy what you like. #supportirish #notoplamoil
