Maybe the abuse stuff will be in the beginning to show why she needs to escape? I think it will be more of an action comedy/mafia satire. I’ll let you all know if I get off the waitlist and give them y’all’s feedback about the title if they ask me 🤣

tbh, I think the most important thing right now is to change the movie title. SUNNY is such a weak title for a crime thriller. It gives zero indication of the plot and doesn't hook the audience at all

Honestly think this is the time she should be more risky. She already did so much critically and commercially in the 90s/2000s.
I think people forget Angie is in her 50s. She's not in the Zendaya/Margo/Emma Stone/JLaw lane anymore.
You should compare her to her contemporaries

@MsTwistedNerve It’s totally different from Maria, this isn't an awards movie. this's just hoping for decent box office numbers. its great to see her in more indie films but doing a subpar genre film like this is risky for her career. Though she probably doesn't even care

@HanMu604 I know it’s different 😅 What I am saying is it’s Angie. Her name alone can move distributors. Yes this isn’t an ‘awards movie’ but it’s a dark thriller but most peeps wd be more inclined to see her in one. She chooses riskier films and peeps are more intrigued than ever abt her.

@HanMu604 Fair but distributions don’t rely mainly on rave reviews. Yes it is indie but Angelina Jolie’s name can move distributors towards her. An example is, a bad one bec Netflix fvcking fumbled it, ‘Maria’ where they bought the movie before it premiered in Venice.

@HanMu604 Yep, it’s not. Though promotions can be handled by distributors much like what happened with ‘Coutures’. I think what we can wish is for it to be picked up by a major distributor that can handle both US and international markets so it will have a cohesive marketing.

@angeltresjolie_ Salt was a massive blockbuster with a good promo. but Sunny is a low-budget indie it needs a hook in the title just to stand out.
