To add to OP's point here, and a huge problem is that when we say this, all the new folks in power go "oh you want charmed again? you want buffy again? gossip girl again?" and they give us 10 episode modern reboots of THOSE SHOWS. Which is not, in fact, what the ask is.

It is an absolute shame that The CW doesn't really exist anymore. The youth deserve 22 episode seasons of shows like Buffy, Smallville, The Vampire Diaries, Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, Dawson's Creek, etc. They were foundational. They were vital.

Local health officials say federal cuts to their funding, along with cuts at CDC (who often help with disease investigation), are driving a spike is syphilis and other STDs. Sadly, many separate data points indicate that absent significant change in federal funding and priorities, many children will be harmed, and America will actually be far unhealthier over the next few years (and beyond). 😞

That said, I’m super happy to see attention to and funding for long COVID from HHS. And again, an acknowledgment from RFK and from MAHA that COVID actually can be a harmful (“debilitating”) virus- even for people who think they are “low risk.” 👍🏽
