I finally watched Game of Thrones. I have 3 episodes left but finally got to “The Long Night.” One of the worst episodes of TV I’ve ever seen. It’s clear to me the showrunners were struggling with pacing without breaking the show up into 7 storylines at once.

There were some cool visuals but it’s all overshadowed by how overwhelming the white walkers are in most of the CG shots, the horde was so big and moving so fast everyone would just get trampled and suffocated almost immediately.

This happens like 10x, the plot armor is on 1 trillion. No one says anything other than “COME ON” and no one important dies. Even Sam who can’t fight is in peril for 3/4 of the fight but somehow still survives. Overall maybe the worst big bad fight I’ve seen.

Back to this, I’m still bothered about it. Why is an old man bagging his own groceries, or a single mother with 2 kids.. Did we run out of high schoolers to pay $19/hr to ask paper or plastic and stack apples in a bag? Is this some sort of leading economic indicator?

@A_kamara6 You don't understand how this works. Property taxes are used to pay for schools, fire departments, police, road repairs, and etc. You end that and the money now comes from outrageous sales taxes.
