Giuseppe Longo-Minnolo from @unict_it and Amparo Martínez from @GVAivia have shared the results of the validation of irrigation scheduling with the HandyWater prototype app on pilot plots in Italy and Spain. Interesting results on citrus and olives!

Felix Thomas from 🇩🇪 @UFZ_de has explained the current status of the HANDYWATER DST, a prototype mobile app📱 for scheduling irrigation based on a soil water balance model⚖️ using capacitive sensors and agroclimatic data 🌤️ or according to FAO 56 guidelines📗.

Professor Abousrie Farag from @BenhaUniversity focuses on benchmarking measures for the adoption of new irrigation solutions. We continue!

Daniela Vanella 🇮🇹 from the @unict_it shows us the agronomic results 🟰 from the field trials and identifies the most promising strategies for improving 📊 irrigation water productivity: regulated deficit irrigation, subsurface drip irrigation, soil water sensors and mulching!

Felix Schiller from #IAK Agrar Consulting 🇩🇪 and Juan Gabriel Pérez from @GVAivia 🇪🇸 have presented an 💵economic analysis of the irrigation innovations: model and Spanish demo-site examples, respectively. Did you know that subsurface irrigation could 🫰 reduce costs? 🤓

3⃣ Se ha desarrollado y testado un #modelo de cálculo de necesidades de riego basado en la estimación de la #evapotranspiración. El manejo de este modelo en 🥦🍉ha permitido ajustar las💧 dosis de riego y conocer el🥀 estrés del cultivo. #FEDER #RetoIvaceInnova @GVAavi

Te resumimos los resultados más importantes del proyecto #DIFERA🤓 Hemos desarrollado un #prototipo de #cabezal de riego que garantiza la reutilización segura del agua regenerada #EDAR, incorporando sistemas de control de🧂salinidad, 🍃nutrientes y🧪pH. #FEDER #RetoIvaceInnova

2⃣ Se han monitoreado con diversos sensores a nivel de terreno parámetros fisiológicos en 🍊 y🫒en los que se han empleado nuevas tecnologías y técnicas de riego eficiente. Resultados productivos ➕ con una ➖huella hídrica. #FEDER #RetoIvaceInnova @GVAavi

➡️El prototipo #DIFERA emplea un sistema automático de #mezcla de aguas (🥤balsa y 🧋EDAR) para controlar salinidad y sensores selectivos de iones para gestionar el aporte de nutrientes 🧑‍🔬(nitrato, potasio, amonio y cloruro). #FEDER #RetoIvaceInnova @GVAavi

➡️Los resultados obtenidos para una parcela experimental de 🍊 confirman el notable avance del proyecto #DIFERA en el desarrollo de sistemas innovadores para la ♻️regeneración y reutilización de aguas🟰optimizamos la #fertirrigación. #FEDER #RetoIvaceInnova @GVAavi
