ADHD Awareness Month… Education is key. There’s more to ADHD than fidgeting. Women and girls are more likely to undiagnosed. Be aware - you could really help someone who is struggling. #ADHD#ADHDAwarenessMonth#ADHDInWomenAndGirls
My daughter got her GCSE results today. She was diagnosed with ADHD in March. The grades she got weren’t straight As but they took as much effort. Well done to all the kids who worked so hard against all the odds to get the grades they needed. I’m so proud! ✨#GCSEResults
@mattgoss@TeamMattGoss Loved every second! Seeing you is always a tonic! Thanks for the advice - I’m going to do my absolute best to be the happiest version of myself for sure. You sounded amazing and the band did too! I thought your backing singers were excellent! More shows soon please 🙏🏽🤍
What an amazing show at Studley Castle last night. Afterwards I got to wind down with my incredibly talented band, breaking bread alongside some gin & tonics, maybe some bubbly too. Thank you to the most wonderful family of fans that turned up, as you always do! One big party! ❤️
Never a truer word said…. This song has always been my favourite. Didn’t know it would be so personal. Love it so much 🩵 @mattgoss music.apple.com/gb/album/the-d…
A tweet to say we should never give up on the elderly… Dad was bedridden for 8 months solid - in pain if the headboard moved for him to sit up. On Friday, he decided to get up. Joined everyone in the communal lounge for lunch! Miracles happen!!! 🤩
@LBC@mrjamesob Thanks to Kat for articulating what my 16 year old can’t. She’s going through a diagnosis now and you basically told her story. The part about relating to adults and overwhelming her peers - being ‘too much’. She’s never been too much for me and I won’t tell her to try harder!
‘My entire life has been people telling me I would have been more successful had I tried harder.’
‘I felt like a failure as a woman and a mother’.
Caller Kat tells @mrjamesob she has had to grieve her former self after being diagnosed with ADHD aged 38.
Honestly, women on @lbc now describing what my daughter is going through. That child who overwhelmed others, who wasn’t naughty but just was ‘too much’. I always said I’d never let people dull her sparkle and I’m so glad I have always seen her for how amazing she is 🩷#ADHD
Ros, who is talking to @mrjamesob on @LBC is describing my daughter’s experience in school. So interesting and valuable to hear this as a Mum. Thank you for covering this subject. #ADHD
@JasonManford I love that my daughter is taking GCSE Drama and she intends to do Theatre Production at college. She’s always loved theatre and the arts. I’m excited for her!!
@SamPittis@mrjamesob@LBC Square peg, round hole at school…. Hoping she finds her place when she gets to college doing the creative things she wants to do. She’s so bright and so talented. It’s so easy for her to feel not good enough at school when she compares herself to others….
So many stories of people coming to terms with their ADHD on @mrjamesob on @LBC now.
It is not always easy but it is always encouraging to hear other people going through similar experiences.
@mrjamesob In tears listening to the phone in on @LBC re ADHD. My 16 yr old daughter is going through the diagnosis process at the moment and I am in awe of how amazing she is. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for a teenage girl at grammar school to be struggling as she is
