@HannahF_SLT If meds working well for the person in other ways, there's a good argument for leaving them in place though this needs to be discussed with the individual (benefits and side effects).

HELP: Can anyone advise on treatment of dysfluency caused by anti-psychotic medication? 💊

@GillianRudd Thank you! If a change in meds wasn’t an option due to mental health stability, do you know if traditional fluency shaping/modification would be an option as it would for developmental? Can’t seem to find much EBP on this, but conscious of patient distress

Handed in my dissertation on TBI and dating. I've loved this research area and I think it will stick with me when I'm qualified and working. I believe SLTs across clinical populations have the skills to work on relationships and sexuality. 💗
