@HantsIOW_fire, you wouldn't happen to have an informational graphic about how residents can better react to seeing/reporting forest fires? Or based on any safety guidance? Any support on this matter would be wonderful :)

That’s why I believe there should be a form of resident permit or local access scheme. This needs to be about balance. Protecting the forest, yes, but also protecting fair access to it!

Prices start at £1.50 for one hour, rising to £8 for anything over four hours. Car parks will operate between 4:00am and 11:00pm, with a 15-minute grace period in place, and tickets will be valid across multiple Forestry England sites.

From tomorrow, April 20th, Forestry England are introducing parking charges across the New Forest! This change will be felt most by local people. The New Forest isn’t just a "destination", it’s part of daily life for many of us!

18 days to go until May 7th! The first week of the campaign is done. I’ve been out speaking to residents, handing out leaflets, knocking on doors, and hearing what’s actually going on across the area... A lot of it isn’t being talked about enough. This is just the start!

Approximately 15 hectares of gorse and heathland have been destroyed in the New Forest. Fires are on the rise, and this isn’t just land, it’s habitats, wildlife, and years of growth gone in just a few hours. We can’t keep losing the forest like this!

in order to take responsibility for my error, i've changed my social media banner to something more authentic, something more organic. this is the start of a whole new era of rebranding. this is the 1st of many changes coming this April...
