Situation for #flu not ideal either with a sudden surge (let's hope we aren't repeating 2022) and already above average attends in Emergency Departments for respiratory illness... (note goggling for flu not up this year though🤔) #influenza

Acknowledging every winter feels worse than the last - interesting data to support anecdote it feels tougher than normal out there. RSV not only peaking to record levels (still incredible how closely it is tracking 2019) but does seem more virulent this year ?peak next week🤞

Many people are unaware of the respiratory illness #RSV but every year 20,000 babies are hospitalised because of it. Pregnant women can now have the RSV vaccine from 28 weeks. Maternity immunisation nurse Agata explains why the RSV vaccine is so important for pregnant women⬇️
