@missdcox We have disaggregated INSET days as a result of twilight INSETs over the year, our school.days hasn't changed in maybe a decade. We've had two weeks for 5 or 6 years..

Turns out it’s a longer school day. By 20 minutes.

@hannahcusworth @katiehall1979 @HughJRichards Mine had to go into hospital due to weight loss but I had no support with breastfeeding, I learned more from Facebook groups than any health professional. We combination fed and she still boobs a bit now at 3.

@katiehall1979 @HughJRichards Oh god, that must have been so stressful. Yhh, a couple of people in our NCT group had weight loss when breastfeeding and then formula becomes pretty essential unless you want starvation…

I hate that in this country formula is treated as if it is the devil’s juice instead of just a mix of water, milk powder and vegetable oils. What discourages breastfeeding is how insanely painful, exhausting, isolating, expensive & incredibly stressful it can be.

@hannahcusworth I mean I can't complain too much, she's nearly 3 and since putting her in her own room at maybe 15 months, she's largely slept through the night. It's the bloody dogs that get me up at hideous hours!

@HannahSpangle Oh god, that sounds tough & not conducive to you getting some naps in! Mine will sleep on a warm human, the sling or the moses basket, I spent £700 on a pram and it’s non stop howling the moment the head touches the bassinet 🙄

“Sleep when the baby sleeps” is good advice but they’re supposed to be in the same room as you and sound like a pterodactyl? 🤪

It's easy for you to say that as teacher, rather than a 15/16 old under exam pressure and potentially thrown as they start questioning whether the date is right or not- especially if you teach them the book.

People are flapping about the wrong date but it has little impact on the question because the opposing arguments can come from any time in the era of the Renaissance. I teach the importance of the book in class. I tecah 1 book per character.

A short thread on yesterdays GCSE History Pearson Edexcel medicine paper. Because no I’m still not over it. The Sydenham date was wrong on the paper because nobody picked it up in editing. Why? Because nobody knew it was wrong.

@Gwenelope He's my colleague's MP. He's blocked her from social media (for, you know, making sensible comments, asking questions- not being offensive. One of my students is a Conservative supporter but baulks at 20p Lee.

@swerupa @NatlParkService Head to South Street- great bars, record shops. You used to be able to get a vegan cheesesteak there, definitely worth checking out. Also Reading Terminal Market for food 😋
