LAZARUS OPENED TEN YEARS AGO TODAY “By the time I got to New York...” LAZARUS by DAVID BOWIE & ENDA WALSH Directed by IVO VAN HOVE Inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by WALTER TEVIS Following nearly three weeks of previews, public performances of Lazarus began ten years ago this evening at the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW). David Bowie attended the opening night, and it was to be his final public appearance. Ten years ago today, David Bowie & Iman attended the Lazarus premiere at The New York Theatre Workshop in New York City. David took to the stage at the end of the performance for his final bow. This was to be his last public appearance. #BowieForever ❤️

@davejthorp Annoyed that Lewis has gone, he was a great dancer and should've made the final. I had been so looking forward to their showdance! I would have definitely saved him over Amber. Just hoping now that Karen and Carlos make the final!!

@Hannahlocks The original version of this song is by Martha Davis fronting The Motels but the movie people didn't think it was commercial enough and made Giorgio hire another singer. Only Terri is on the song. Like Debbie is the only member of Blondie on Call Me...he hates working with bands.
