The current circulating narrative that Hanni committed perjury after Min Hee-Jin instructed her to claim the other team mocked her is false. The current reports discuss Min Hee-Jin’s alleged involvement in crafting NewJeans’ legal strategy for the lawsuit, including suggesting phrasing about “mockery by words and actions”, and court analysis of the “ignore her” (“무시해”) phrase originating in Min Hee-Jin’s messages rather than proving Hanni fabricated events. The claim by ADOR is that Min Hee-Jin suggested the phrasing that Hanni had been targeted with mockery “through words and actions”, and alleges Min Hee-Jin instructed adding this to the court filings. Not that Min Hee-Jin told Hanni to make the “ignore her” claim. This is an entirely different point. Court conclusions, drawn from KakaoTalk chats, CCTV, and testimony, reached no finding of deliberate lying or perjury by Hanni. Hanni’s original account of the incident never named specific members or the group and explicitly noted the manager’s role in directing the ignoring behavior, making it clear that this problem solely lies between her, the BELIFT Manager, and ADOR. Any further misunderstanding is not at the fault of Hanni.
