“Ziidi MMF interest rate is 7% to 13%,but it mostly ranges between 6% and 7%. If the average interest is 7% annually, it means if you save Ksh1 million per year, you will earn Ksh 70,000 before tax. After tax and other deductions, you will averagely earn Ksh 63,000. This is equivalent to Ksh 63,000/12 which is Ksh 5,250 per month. If you invest Ksh 1 million in a business like Chemist, you will make at least Ksh 30,000 monthly. It’s clearly better to operate a business than invest in MMF. Investment in MMF is for people who are busy, who are not there to manage their businesses. But if you have time, just start your own business and later invest the profits in MMF” From Eugene Whats your opinion?

Maize farming is the most profitable business if you don't know. Lemi take you through, I have 5acres in ndhiwa I don't plough coz I use herbicide Herbicide for 5acreas kausha 4000 20pakts of seeds 17000 Fertilizer 5bags (2500*5) 17500 Topdressing same 17500 Mislenious including. Weeding kolopa 5 liters 9000 fertilizer application, upto harvesting 5000 Let's add total with you that's around 70k let's asume it's a round figure 100k Now under this good management one pkt of seed should give you at least 5bags of 50tins. We did 20pkts now let's calculate that one you have 100 bags of 50tins let's sell our maize chini kabisa at 90bob per tin and we have 100bags of 50tins meaning we have 5000tins at 90bob hapo tuko na Kshs. 450k in less than 5months and we grow maize twice a year that's 900k . Wacheni mchezo bwana With the introduction of Herbicides method of weeding and mbolea ya ruto farming has become one of the most profitable business one can venture, Warning ukitaka kulima weka degree yako na class yako chini and manage your things alone ukiachilia mtu utakulwa ulie. From Jonah Do you agree?

@Fredmunene_ All the key points are hidden in certification, finances and if we are able to offer competitive prices compared to other existing key players like Argentina, Mexico and Brazil. Let's not talk about China before we fully meet the demand of Middle East countries.

The Early Harvest Agreement deal between Kenya and China has made me think deeply about beef export. This might become one of the biggest agricultural opportunities for Kenyan livestock farmers. China has over 1.4 billion consumers and a growing middle class demanding more protein every year. Any farmer who positions themselves early, produces quality beef, and manages enough supply will be sitting on a multibillion dollar opportunity. The biggest advantage with beef farming? You sell at the farm. Buyers look for. -Consistency -Weight -Quality -Disease control -Traceability This is where serious farmers will separate themselves from ordinary farmers. Feedlots, pasture improvement, hay production, silage making, breeding programs, and proper animal health management are about to become serious business. The world is changing fast. Agriculture is no longer about producing for your local market alone. Global markets are opening. My friend in Isinya who is doing beef farming is smiling quietly while many people are still debating online. Watch her story. Sometimes the biggest opportunities arrive quietly before the crowd notices

@ceasarmulli @daisy_explains KMC has met all the strict requirements by Middle East countries. Problem is they solely depend on 100% confirmed order, which means they rely on your 100% advance payment to process your order. I have exported recently using KMC.

@daisy_explains KMC has not met strict export requirements for the gulf market. Only Neema,Juja&EPZ in athi river are exporting. At the moment KMC cannot compete at all with the private slaughter houses. The losses stem from capacity constraints
