The black bear lives in the North Americas throughout deciduous forests, which are forests populated by trees whose leaves go through seasonal changes. The only time you'll see them grouped up is a group composed of a mother and its cubs, or a pair during mating season.

Hainan Black Crested Gibbons in particular live on a single 2 square kilometer island in Southern China. Deforestation, and expansion of agriculture are all anthropogenic pressures the Gibbon faces. Anthropogenic: Environmental changes caused directly or indirectly by humans.
