Nearly every Medieval Fuero in Iberia has a special designation for “Francos” Which included everyone beyond the Pyrenees, including the Catalan counties (before their union with Aragon)

The alleged Hallstatt DNA had many vectors. 1st, the Sueves & other barbarians. 2nd, continual European migration, notably from France, during the Middle Ages. I'd say actual Hallstatt Celts lay far behind, as their impact was very limited in Iron Age Iberia, let alone Galicia.

@Lethescholar Gallaecians were heavily Hallstatt influenced both genetically and culturally. I cannot speak for the other groups but it seems they were as well.

I always get excited whenever I’m reminded a family member on my father’s side was involved in a conspiracy to open a significant western front at the end of the Carlist War Both the Isabelino govt. and Portugal were freighted, and so coordinated a surprise assault to kill him

Hemos estado en el Museo carlista de Madrid, un lugar de referencia que merece ser visitado. Es difícil encontrar sitios que conserven con tanto detalle la memoria de nuestra causa. Historia viva de nuestra España.🇪🇸 #carlismo

Apparently only the university of the Basque Country, the university of Cantabria, and Principe of Viana are the only institutions capable of putting out quality historical research

The House of Haro, from where the 1st Lords of Vizcaya came, originated in Lizarra. With them came other families, such as the Velascurri (Velasco), and many other client families.
