The nearby blast shattered their window, injured them with broken glass, and even burned their skin, their hands is covered with blisters from the heat of the explosion. They are two houses away from the targeted civilian building that was entirely destroyed. The emergency services were on site rapidly and treated their wounds. They are barred from going back to the house to take their personal belongings because their building may collapse. They are effectively homeless. Their house door is destroyed so thieves may show up. There are no cops left to answer any theft related calls anyways. They are so shocked they can't articulate, speak or think, they are "wavy" (aka their brain is concussed and impacted by the blast). They have breathed bomb fumes and feel sick. They are lucky to be alive, I guess. This is the second family I know who has had their home entirely destroyed and was injured in the process...
