@HappyHarryToons Enjoyed the comic a ton, I was gonna write a little "it was good" post but thought this would be more FUN.
Not that I'm massively widely read, but this was my favorite graphic novel (crowdfunded or otherwise) for years and years, and I want more people to enjoy it.

@aalong64 Agree - and it's so useful for artists needing inspiration... something that you find funny or fascinating from 90 years ago will probably be funny/fascinating 90 years from now... so rip off that Three Stooges bit!!

I genuinely think watching old movies, reading old books, playing old games, generally stepping outside your comfort zone, is good for your brain and makes you a better person (not exclusively old stuff but not exclusively new either)

One of the most frustrating parts of the human experience is people's lack of curiosity. Refusing to engage with older art, going straight to modern remakes without any thought of even trying the original work, saying you don’t have to play an interactive game to be a fan etc.

@HappyHarryToons You may know this already, but I've just discovered this commercial was actually directed by Russell Mulcahy. Obviously looking back, it's very similar to the sign set-piece from Highlander, but with the noir-ish style and art direction of The Shadow.

This is my favourite aesthetic for superhero films. Russell Mulcahy/Joel Schumacher/Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy etc.
It's monkey's paw logic that now superhero movies are everywhere yet none of them like this.
