America’s Last Warning to Lebanon: A Threat Disguised as Diplomacy 📌A Final Ultimatum Tom Barrack, the U.S. envoy to Lebanon, is arriving in Beirut carrying what he described as a “final warning.” His message to Lebanon’s leaders is blunt and unmistakably coercive: this will be my last visit to Lebanon. Barrack intends to inform the country’s three top officials that they face one last choice, either they “learn the lesson” and agree to enter direct negotiations with Israel under American sponsorship, with the goal of setting a timetable and mechanism to disarm Hezbollah, or Lebanon will be “left to its fate”, a phrase widely understood as giving the American greenlight for Israel to launch a new war on Lebanon. 📌Blackmail, Not Diplomacy Behind the diplomatic phrasing lies a clear act of political blackmail. Washington is not offering Lebanon a path toward stability, it is dictating the terms of surrender. The so-called “negotiations” are not about peace, but about forcing Lebanon to dismantle the one force that has successfully deterred Israeli aggression for decades. 📌The Hidden Objective: A New Buffer Zone for Israel At the heart of this ultimatum lies a deeper strategic goal: to give Israel control over South Lebanon, effectively creating the long-desired “buffer zone” under a new name and a different pretext. The United States is paving the way for Israel to extend its reach north of the border, not through occupation alone, but through a forced political arrangement that legitimizes the theft of Lebanese territory. Such a move would allow Israel to annex parts of southern Lebanon, granting it direct access to crucial natural resources, especially water from the Litani River and surrounding basins, a resource Israel has coveted for decades. The “security buffer” narrative is merely camouflage for an economic and territorial project: to weaken Lebanon, divide it politically, and exploit its natural wealth under the guise of regional stability. 📌The True Face of U.S. Policy This message exposes the true nature of U.S. policy toward Lebanon: a policy of pressure, threats, and manipulation rather than respect for sovereignty or dialogue among equals. The United States, which presents itself as a broker of peace, has repeatedly acted as an enforcer of Israeli interests. Each of its interventions in Lebanon, whether through economic sanctions, political isolation, or now overt diplomatic intimidation, has aimed to achieve by coercion what Israel has failed to achieve by war. 📌A Colonial Mindset Reborn Barrack’s words, “Lebanon will be left to its fate”, are a chilling echo of a colonial mindset. Washington is telling an entire nation that its survival depends on obedience. The implicit message is that Lebanon’s economy, already suffocated by U.S.-backed financial restrictions, will be pushed into further collapse if Beirut refuses to comply. This is not diplomacy; it is the language of domination. 📌Punishing Independence For decades, Lebanon has been punished for refusing to submit to the regional order imposed by the United States and Israel. Every attempt to preserve a degree of independence, whether in foreign policy, energy deals, or defense strategy, has been met with sanctions, threats, or sabotage. Today’s “final warning” is merely the latest chapter in that long campaign. 📌The Real Path to Peace If Washington truly sought peace, it would pressure Israel to end its violations of Lebanese airspace, withdraw from occupied territories, and respect UN resolutions, not demand that Lebanon disarm the only force that has ever made such violations costly. 📌Between Submission and Sovereignty Lebanon today stands at a crossroads. The choice it faces is not between peace and war, it is between submission and sovereignty. Tom Barrack’s “final visit” may be framed as an ultimatum, but for the Lebanese people, it is a reminder of why resistance remains necessary.

🇵🇸 HAMAS ORDERS GOV’T WORKERS: STAY IN GAZA CITY OR FACE “MAXIMUM PENALTIES” Hamas has circulated a memo warning government ministry employees not to leave northern Gaza despite Israeli bombardment. The order: stay put, block “the enemy’s plans to displace residents,” or face the “maximum penalties” - legal and administrative. Hamas is trying to stop the mass flight out of Gaza City, even as Israeli forces push deeper and civilians scramble to survive. For workers, the choice is brutal: Obey Hamas, or risk punishment. Leave, and risk Israeli fire. Source: @Osint613

🚨 GAD SAAD: MEN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN WOMEN'S SPORTS “In the opening chapter of The Parasitic Mind, I talk about my 2 foundational life ideals, which are truth and freedom. So even if not a single woman had been harmed through this lunacy, to me, it is still an affront to human reason, because we are a sexually dimorphic species. That's the fancy term, meaning that, on average, men and women are not the same. That's certainly true when it comes to physical strength.” Source: x.com/MarioNawfal/st… @GadSaad

🚨 GAD SAAD: LIFE IS ABOUT FINDING THE SWEET SPOT “It makes perfect sense for me to have evolved the instinct to jump in front of a truck to save my children, but I would be less likely to jump in front of a truck to save random children that I don’t know. That doesn’t make me evil and callous, it makes me someone who has evolved the emotional and cognitive system that recognizes that I don’t mete out my investments indiscriminately to everyone. It doesn’t make me a bad person — it makes me a Darwinian being.” Source:x.com/MarioNawfal/st… @GadSaad

The worst Olympic Opening Ceremony in modern history. If London 2012 marked a post-war peak followed by a rapid decline, Paris 2024 is evidence of a Europe that has already fallen.

Culture and soft power is an important part of international politics, and France has a long history of cosmopolitanism that appeals to universal civilisation: - However, I suspect most of the world interprets this performance at the Paris Olympics as cultural decadence. - The Olympics is always political, so what is the significance? The show evidently intended to display and communicate tolerance as the most important ingredient of liberalism. Yet, the intolerance toward criticism of the appropriateness of this at the opening of the Olympics is a contradiction. - Liberalism is known for its two contradictory components: tolerance and the assumption of universalism. The contradiction becomes evident as there is very little tolerance toward dissent to progressiveness / universalism that must be embraced by all. This is why liberal societies usually have very little tolerance for dissent on issues like immigration, radical secularism, abortion and the new gender ideology. - As I write this, I realise I may already be guilty of "hate" by failing to comment on this cultural phenomenon with praise. But, if conformity and consensus about this new cultural phenomenon is formed through intolerance and intimidation, does it not prove my point? - However, I may be wrong... Culture is the root that sustains civilisation by connecting people across space and time. Maybe the world finds cosmopolitanism, unity and universalism in drag shows and sexualised smurfs.
