Going through a major change right now, and yeah it’s been embarrassing at times, but I’m still showing up and locked in.
I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m not backing down from it.
If you’ve had to rebuild yourself before, you know what that takes.
11 months sober.
That didn’t come from luck, it came from showing up every day when I didn’t feel like it.
No excuses. No shortcuts.
Just one decision at a time.
@RandyDrescher That’s powerful, congrats on 25 years 🙏
It really puts things into perspective. Appreciate you sharing that, means a lot to me. I’m staying on course and wouldn’t trade a sober day for anything brother.
I have been there. It took me a very long time to re-build. It was overwhelmingly worth it. Just celebrated 25 years, on Monday. As someone else alluded to, turns out that many others had/have equally, or worse, embarrassing moments than I. I would not trade this sober day for anything!!!! Continue to stay strong.
@HappySoberCo if attending AA meeting remember all the others there have done the same thing as You or worse.
AA is a recovery Area for those who have imperfect lives and Drank to excess.
Not for Saints to polish their Halo.
@HappySoberCo It’s all a mental warfare. If you can be stronger than that voice in your own head you can’t be stopped. There’s only one direction… forward.
@HappySoberCo The worst thing I’ve ever done was procrastinate and blame other people. I used to do it all of the time. Deep down I knew I was better than that. When I changed my entire perspective and stopped giving into my excuses, it was only up from there.
Your excuses need to die.
If you’re still waiting on permission or the perfect time to start you’ll never get what you want.
Stop bullshitting yourself.
@HappySoberCo There’s a quiet bravery in doing the right thing when no one’s watching. That kind of consistency says everything. You’re carrying it, and it shows 💙
Most marketing advice is garbage.
Half of it is talk.
Half of it is guessing.
Real marketing shows results and makes it obvious who’s getting them.
Be careful.
Not every “guru” has experience.
You need to pay attention to where you’re getting your advice from.
