This is the state of the hospital in Ondo state where @sowore comes from. You'll never see him call out his governor. Do you think that these people won't celebrate if they record the level of transformation going on in Abia State?

A VIDEO of Nigerians serving in the U.S. Army having a nice time. See how Nigerians serving as soldiers in the U.S. Army are treated; as special, deserving, and important. Compare this to what obtains in Nigeria, where even the Generals are murd£red and everyone moves on!✍️

Is Nigeria Really Worth Fighting for? The NNPC recruits The Customs recruits The Immigration Service recruits Top Federal Institutions recruit Why do they not advertise such recruitments for ordinary Nigerians like me? Are there never vacancies in these parastarals? A Thread!

@ireaderinokun @maxsiollun I wouldn't quite call that reconciliation. Lol "astonishing" igbos practically had to pick themselves up after that war. The help from the government wasn't as extensive of an impact.

Sunday's live conversation with @maxsiollun on Nigerian history was genuinely illuminating! I learned even more on top of everything I'd already gotten from his books. A few things we got into: 🇳🇬 Why Nigeria needs a moral revolution, not just a visionary leader 👑 The surprising truth about Maryam Babangida, Nigeria's first real First Lady, and how much power she actually wielded behind the scenes 🕊️ Why the post-Civil War reconciliation is one of the most astonishing and under-appreciated moments in our history Huge thanks to Dr Siollun for making the time, and to everyone who joined us live! If you missed it or want to listen back, the recording is here 👉🏾 x.com/i/spaces/1oKMv… 👈🏾 #NigeriaHistoryLive #NIGSOF #opendaybook

Max has made this argument of Post Civil War reconciliation and his evidences are annoying to me an Igbo. Post Civil War reconciliation was not a reconciliation, it was a situation where the losers (Igbos) were allowed to reintegrate into Nigeria at heavy costs to their identity!

Amaka Igwe died on April 28, 2014. She was 51 years old. She was in Enugu, her home state, doing pre-production for a new Igbo soap opera. She had just finished teaching a film-making class to young filmmakers in her hometown of Udi. An asthma attack. She was rushed to hospital. She did not make it. The woman who created Checkmate. Who wrote Fuji House of Commotion. Who directed Rattlesnake. Who ran Top Radio 90.9FM. Who was building a DStv channel in her final weeks. She died teaching. While creating. Genevieve Nnaji, upon hearing the news, wrote: "This is the darkest day of my entire career." Not a personal tragedy. The darkest day of her career. Because Amaka Igwe was not just Genevieve's mentor. She was the architecture beneath all of them. On January 2, 2020, Google honoured her with a Doodle. She had been gone six years by then. Nigeria was still catching up to what it had lost.
